Senior Learning Hub

At OLPS we aim to develop and support the whole child, promoting academic excellence, social and emotional learning and spiritual formation. We provide a Stage 3 experience that develops young leaders and provides a well-supported transition to high school. We value our K to 6 pathway and prioritise a highly supportive and engaging Stage 3 experience.

  • Our structured leadership program covers personal leadership, public leadership, mentoring/ coaching and focuses on the building blocks of presentation skills, organisation, responsibility, teamwork, emotional intelligence, communication, collaboration and critical thinking.
  • Faith formation experiences founded in the Gospels and encompassing OLPS Mercy values.
  • Inclusive values-based leadership framework where every student has a leadership role.
  • Extracurricular opportunities, camps/ excursions and community connections opportunities.
  • Public speaking, debating, Maths Olympiad, SPARK network.

The High School Hub Program

OLPS High School Hub Program is our speciality 5-week transition program to support our Senior Learning Hub students to prepare for high school.

  • The subjects/topics covered in our High School Hub Program include Science, Sport, Algebra, Food Technology, STEM (Robotics and VR), AUSLAN, Study Skills, IT Skills, Assessment Planning, Presentation Skills, Time Management and Organisation Skills, Digital Organisation and Digital Technology and concludes with a Spirituality Retreat. 
  • Stage 3 students enjoy a dedicated learning space, the Senior Learning Hub. This area allows for learning opportunities in larger groups, small groups or as individuals, fostering a greater sense of independence and responsibility.
  • Primary school graduation experience and end of year celebrations.
